Isagenix Fights Child Abuse on Capitol Hill during National Day of Hope
CHANDLER, Ariz. (April 13, 2010) — Kathy Coover, co-founder and executive vice president of Isagenix®, will join lawmakers, dignitaries and celebrities to celebrate Childhelp® National Day of Hope® on Wednesday in Washington, D.C. The National Day of Hope, held each April during National Child Abuse Prevention Month, mobilizes people across America to join the fight against child abuse.
A luncheon will be held from noon to 2 p.m. EST on Wednesday, at The Kennedy Room on Capitol Hill. Coover is a member of the Childhelp Host Committee, co-chaired by Senator and Mrs. Jon Kyl and Senator Dianne Feinstein.
Isagenix has been supporting Childhelp since 2004, and is the sole sponsor of the Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline, 1-800-4-A-Child. Isagenix sponsored Childhelp’s 50th Anniversary Tour and raised more than $1 million dollars in 2009. This luncheon provides the opportunity for members of Congress to meet with Childhelp founders and Nobel Peace Prize nominees Sara O’Meara and Yvonne Fedderson, as well as other prominent activists to discuss and develop legislation on how to better help victims of child abuse and neglect with a focus on prevention, intervention and treatment.
