Ellen Builds Multi-Million Dollar Business, Named Isagenix® Woman of the Year
When a friend presented Ellen with a unique gift after the birth of her son in 2002, she graciously thanked her but put the gift, an Isagenix® system, on a shelf where it sat for nearly a year. Ellen had no experience with network marketing and had no idea about the opportunity inside the box.
Today, the 43-year-old Isagenix Millionaire and 6-Star Golden Circle spends her days as a wife, mom, actress and successful entrepreneur who manages a multi-million dollar Isagenix business* out of her Los Angeles home.
What was it that led her to shake off the dust and give the products a try? Several months after receiving the gift, Ellen decided to attend a meeting led by her friend and best-selling author 6-Star Golden Circle John Gray. She brought along 10 friends, including her husband who is also a successful actor, and after the meeting they all started using Isagenix and experienced amazing results. It was these results that piqued Ellen’s curiosity and inspired her to finally embrace the business opportunity.
Ellen is the first to say that the journey to the top hasn’t always been an easy one. Not long after she started building her Isagenix business, her son Tyler developed a life-threatening illness and had to be hospitalized. Ellen instinctively put everything on hold, including her lifelong career as an actress and her fledgling business. She spent the next year by his side until he overcame his illness, but the experience changed her life.
“It was only through the adversity of facing life and death that afforded me a new perspective on life that began to inform everything I did,” shares Ellen. “I was overcome by the realization of how fragile life can be and decided it was time to make all the necessary sacrifices to create a new situation for my family for our precious and limited time on this planet.”
Ellen quickly became a student of the industry and embraced all of the good advice from mentors like Isagenix Millionaire and 6-Star Golden Circle Ron who taught her things like “Dumb it down and be able to talk to ‘Joe Six-Pack.’”
“I just got out there with products that deliver, a compensation plan that works and a passion that was unstoppable,” says Ellen. “Isagenix now allows us to do things we could never have done before.”
Ellen has now seen that intense focus and sacrifice pay off. Not only has she been able to afford the home she wanted for her family, but she was handed the keys on the anniversary of the founding of Isagenix.
These days, Ellen spends much of her time developing leaders in her organization of more then 18,000 people and believes, “It’s not how much you master, it’s how many masters you make.” She is also very passionate about devoting time and money to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and is also an advocate for Childhelp®.
Presented with the Woman of the Year award at 2008 “Commitment to Greatness” Celebration in Las Vegas, Ellen says she was elated and committed to the responsibility of living up to the title in the eyes of her Isagenix family.
To many, it may seem as if Ellen has reached the top, but she feels as if she’s just getting started. Ellen plans to be the first Associate in Isagenix history to max out the matching bonuses of her personally enrolled Associates and is working toward reaching the next rank.
“What this means is that by maxing out that bonus, I would represent what I believe Isagenix is all about – that we earn by serving and we are financially rewarded only when we help others succeed,” says Ellen. “Achieving this goal would mean that I have stepped up to make sure my people are earning with me and that I’ve helped empower them to achieve their greatest success.”
