For as long as they can remember, Carolyne and Steven dreamt of living in a waterfront home. Living and working out of their "Isagenix Dream House," which is just a stone's throw away from the white sand beach and panoramic views of Blue Mountain in Collingwood, Ontario, Carolyne and Steven have both retired from their "corporate" jobs and enjoy the flexibility, freedom and happiness that their Isagenix business has afforded them.
When people ask how they did it, Carolyne and Steven are humble, but honest.
"The more money you have, the more you can bless others, but you don't just get there because you sold a lot of product; you get there by helping other people," says Carolyne. "We've seen so many people who are undervalued, never recognized and underpaid. With Isagenix, there is a clear and distinct sense of value, belonging, and being acknowledged for your contribution and a feeling of family. That's why people stick around."
Carolyne spent the last 33 years in the airline industry as a flight attendant, but laughs as she confesses that it was completely by accident that she discovered network marketing 12 years ago.
"I was picking up a friend at a Toronto hotel and accidently walked into a meeting room by mistake," recalls Carolyne. "I saw lots of excited people with badges and heard them talking about that company's health products."
It wasn't long before Carolyne was juggling a network marketing business for that company "on the side." While she was doing well, she often felt something was missing and that she should be earning more income for the effort she was putting in. Six years later she received a phone call from a friend, Mar, who introduced her to Isagenix and some top earners, and that's when Carolyne began her journey of a lifetime. She rose quickly through the ranks with Isagenix and says her success was a direct result of making prospecting a main priority.
Steven's journey was a little different, however. He had worked his way up the corporate ladder for 30 years and was more reluctant to join the network marketing business. Soon after seeing Carolyne's drive, he became her business advisor and eventually retired to work the business full time.
Both admit that juggling two demanding careers was often challenging, but worth it. Now, thanks to a well-thought out plan, Carolyne and Steven are both 5-Star Golden Circles and enjoying their ultimate freedom. Carolyne celebrated her "Freedom Day" on October 1 when she officially hung up her wings from the airlines and joined Steve in retirement. But it's probably not the retirement that most people picture. Channeling inspiration into action, the two spend their days building their Isagenix business and are even expanding their outreach into Hong Kong and Australia.
"It feels like a huge weight has been lifted off our shoulders," Carolyne says. "We have the freedom to work when we want and to partner with people of like mind. We can actually commit to things without worrying about scheduling."
Carolyne attributes much of her success to her drive and determination, coupled with the support of her husband.
"Steven was the one who gave me the track to run on," says Carolyne. "Being the numbers man, when I said I wanted to replace my airline income in one year, he showed me how to do it. Today, his guidance and expertise has been invaluable to those who have come into our business."
Carolyne laughs as she confesses that she often lives up to her nickname, "pitbull with lipstick," but very seriously explains that it takes nothing less than fierce determination and a "never give up" attitude to get what you want in life.
The pair is overwhelmed with gratitude as they reflect on the many people who've helped them along their path to health, success and true financial freedom.
"We're thankful to our sponsor Mar for introducing us to Isagenix, John Anderson and the Coovers, and many of our mentors. We love these amazing products that are keeping us and our family healthy," she says. "We're also grateful for the humility we see in Jim and Kathy who are such ambassadors and role models. They really are leading by example. We've also been blessed with many leaders in our downline who are as committed to success in Isagenix as we are."
Today, thanks to hard work, staying focused and incredible teamwork, they're now pursuing one of Carolyne's lifelong dreams: to build a school for underprivileged children in Carolyne's native country India. She feels blessed to be living a life of abundance and wants to find a way to give back to the land that she came from.
"I want to be an example to others like Jim and Kathy have been to us," says Carolyne. "We believe in their vision to free people around the world from physical and financial pain and we're going to help accomplish that with this project."
